Yiddish Break

Now in its third year, Yiddish Break is an annual event at which young Yiddish speakers and enthusiasts meet for a weekend to experience Yiddish language and culture. This spring two Yiddish Breaks were held, one at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, and another at the University of Chicago. At these, over 50 people from a wide variety of backgrounds and denominations came together to eat, chat, play games, participate in workshops, attend seminars, and sing songs. Activities are either in Yiddish or are about Yiddish.
